Recovering Ambulation After Lower Extremity Fracture in Duchenne

Professional Webinar Series

Historically, a lower extremity fracture for an ambulatory individual with Duchenne likely meant that they would never walk again.  Thankfully, for many individuals in recent years, this was not their fate.  A team approach between a motivated patient and family, the Duchenne-knowledgeable surgeon and the up-to-date rehab team is the best recipe for success.  Doug Levine, PT and Jennifer Wallace Valdes, PT will be accompanied by Dr. Thompson of UCLA to give real life examples and protocols for rehabilitation and recovery of ambulation for this population.

Original Webinar date: November 3, 2022
