A boy and his dog, living with Duchenne together
The story of a boy and his dog is one we all know well. But with David and Bandit, it is a friendship that goes much deeper. It was 2012 when David was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. He was just 3 years old. As his disease progressed, his family knew David needed help to cope with the new challenges. But with his service dog, Bandit, David got so much more. From playing sledge hockey to building Legos to making new friends, David and Bandit have become inseparable.

There is no
known cure
But you can change that. Over the next 3 months, we’re raising $300k. Help us support boys like David in the fight for their lives.
But David isn’t alone. Across the globe, 300,000 boys and young men are facing Duchenne. A devastating, progressive muscle-wasting disease, Duchenne attacks the body’s ability to keep muscle cells intact. Many boys are wheelchair-bound by 12 and few survive beyond their 20s.
But you can help. By donating to CureDuchenne, you can support our efforts to find a cure for Duchenne and save this generation of boys.
