Hogan Family

Raising Awareness and Funding Research: Christian Hogan and his 22-year-old son Micah, who has Duchenne, envisioned this event after attending a reggae show in Long Beach several years ago. They wanted to create something similar in their hometown of San Diego, combining their shared love of reggae with their desire to raise funds to accelerate research toward a cure for Duchenne.

“It had long been a dream of ours to mix our love of reggae with our personal mission to find a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy,” Christian Hogan said. “We are so excited to once again partner with local reggae bands and the community to make Cali-RAD Fest a can’t-miss event for a very important cause. By supporting CureDuchenne, we know that we are advancing research for every boy and young man affected by this devastating disease.”
